Final Two Drew Garden Days

We need some supplies for our next Volunteer Garden Day. Scroll all the way down your screen to claim the items you want to donate – we don’t need a million packs of goldfish crackers. 🙂

During our next Volunteer Garden Day, we will plant perennial herbs in four of our gardens. This will add sensory and edible sections for our students to smell and touch. Plus, we’ll be able to pinch off some herbs to add to classroom dishes and to take home. The roses and marigolds will add a few more touches of color.You can find most plants at plant nurseries or home improvement stores. Many of the potted herbs are also sold in grocery stores. Trader Joe’s usually has them for cheap.

Please bring your items to Drew by Wednesday, April 22nd. You can place the plants and bagged soil under the trees in the first-floor courtyard. This is across from the cafeteria. I will keep them watered them until that Thursday. You can drop off snacks and water bottles in the office.

Please consider volunteering! Did you know that only two to four families usually come to our Garden Days? To tempt you into attending, we will have a free raffle and a snack table. I bet you have a good chance to win a prize, you can have a snack, and I guarantee you’ll have a great time helping our school. Remember, there is no tutoring on Thursday, April 23rd. Yes, there are committee meetings, but the Volunteer Garden Days is the Garden Committee’s committee meeting.
