In the spring of 2016, Drew Model School Montessori teacher Jill Meyer and Instructional Technology Coordinator Blake Tippens decided to make a Shakespeare movie. Using only students in Mrs. Meyer’s class, they fine tuned an already polished script for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and began rehearsals. Over the span of three rainy months, the movie was filmed. All of the filming took place on weekends and weekday evenings. Thanks to countless hours of hard work, some amazing parent volunteers, and a little luck, the movie premiered at Drew Model School in June of 2016.
We are very proud of what we accomplished with these dedicated elementary students and we think you will really enjoy their final product. You can watch the full movie on Drew Model School’s YouTube channel.
