As the Arlington Public School system sends personalized devices home with the students, parents will need to setup rules, expectations and reasonable limits for use at home. The goal of the APS Personalized Device initiative is to extend learning beyond the classroom by allowing students to take their devices home during the school year. While this goal is academic in nature, we realize that the availability of the device at home may prove tempting to children long after their school work is finished.
This section of our website is dedicated to tips and suggestions for parents on how to manage the use of these personalized devices in the home during the school year. We hope some of these suggestions are helpful as we want the experience to remain positive and enriching.
