We are very pleased to have your child participating in our P.E. classes. Our program presents a variety of activities that teach fitness, basic skills, rhythm, and sports that are appropriate for each grade level. To ensure every student in the program acquires the maximum benefits under safe conditions, the rules listed below have been developed. The discipline procedure will be followed to ensure every student an equal chance to develop to his or her maximum potential.
DRESS CODE:We are concerned about your child’s safety and for that reason; we ask that they wear athletic or running type shoes. Shoes with heals, boots or sandals (such as Crocs) make it difficult for children to participate safely. We strongly encourage students to wear socks with their shoes and girls that choose to wear dresses or skirts should wear shorts underneath their clothing. Our procedure in the past was to have students sit out if they did not wear the appropriate shoes or clothing, however due to the rise in unfit and overweight children, our goal is that every child participate for 30 minutes everyday. Our goal is for each child to wear the appropriate clothing and footwear to school however they will no longer be penalized for that and will be expected to participate regardless. With that being said, your child will do a variety of activities so please dress them appropriately and send extra shoes to school so they may participate to their fullest potential.
