NEIGHBORHOOD MIDDLE SCHOOLS

Every student is guaranteed a space in the neighborhood school designated by their home address. Registration is required. Learn about each neighborhood middle school:

TRANSITIONING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL

General timeline for rising 6th-grade APS students:

• Middle School Information Video

December – January:

• Middle schools offer family information sessions.

January – February:

• Elementary school counselors hold “transition to middle school” meetings with students and families.
• Middle school counselors visit elementary schools to help students learn about what courses are available and what paths they can take.

March:

• Rising 6th-grade course request forms are due.

April:

• Students participate in middle school orientations at their new middle school.
