We opened the Drew Branch of the Credit Union on Friday, October 10.
This can be a time for you to enroll your child in this savings account program. The purpose of having the Credit Union is to share with students the importance of saving money. Children can bring in money each week or every other week to the Drew Credit Union and make a deposit. We do not withdraw from the account. To make a withdraw you would need to go to the Credit Union on either Columbia Pike or North Glebe Road.
If you have already become a member, you do not need to apply again. Just make sure your child has their number with them when making a deposit.
If you want to open a savings account for your child, you will need the following:
- Child’s ID such as their Social Security Number or Passport
- Child’s Social Security Number
- Parent or Guardian’s Social Security Number
- Parent or Guardian ID such as a Driver’s License or Government ID
- $5.00 Initial Deposit
Parents and Staff may also open accounts. The Grand Opening will be Wednesday, October 29th. Children may make a deposit as they enter the building from 8:40-8:55. All transactions for the children must be completed by 8:55 so that they are in their class ready to learn.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Dora Sue Black. We would like to increase our participation this year and encourage our students to save a little each month.
Thank you,
Mrs. Black
